PRESIDENT'S LETTER

Welcome back! As we begin another exciting year with OCAPL, we’re thrilled to reconnect and look ahead to the many opportunities our organization offers. The OCAPL board and committees are working hard to provide meaningful ways to stay engaged in our industry through educational programs, networking events, and professional development opportunities. From luncheons with guest speakers to community involvement and special events, there are plenty of ways for members to connect, learn, and grow alongside fellow land professionals.

I encourage you to take full advantage of upcoming events. Your involvement strengthens our organization and helps keep OCAPL a valuable resource for both seasoned professionals and those new to the field. The first event is our member meeting on Thursday, February 5th, featuring Professor Joseph Schremmer providing an industry-focused legal update. Professor Schremmer is an engaging speaker, and I am looking forward to seeing you all there. Our next event is an educational luncheon on Monday, February 9th, where Tim Dowd with Elias, Books, Brown & Nelson, P.C. will give a presentation about “When Exhibits Attack.” Mr. Dowd is a compelling speaker and always gives an excellent presentation, so be on the lookout to sign up!

If you haven’t already done so, now is a great time to renew your membership. Maintaining active membership ensures continued access to OCAPL events, industry updates, and the professional connections that make our organization thrive. Thank you for being part of OCAPL.
